Job Title:	CAD Drafter
Company	PD Solar
Reports to:	Divison Manager
Location:	Newark, CA
Status:	Full-Time - Exempt

 

Key Resposibilities:

Drafter for photovoltaic systems will support the drafting of residential photovoltaic system projects. The focus will be to draft supporting details and other specific tasks to support the project designers. There will be additional administrative support required by printing and assembling project designs for submittal to both the authorities having jurisdiction and field by creating construction sets.

 

Specific Resposibilities:

• Draw supporting details with AutoCAD  
• Printing of supporting documents  
• Assist in building up the current design library  
• Assist Engineers with Photovoltaic designs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Intermediate AutoCAD skills  
• Strong math aptitude  
• Proofreading skills with attention to detail  
• Ability to work independently, while actively seeking out ways to assist the team  
• Strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines  
• Proficient MS Office skills; Outlook, Excel, Word  
• Professional oral and written communications skills  
• Excellent organizational skills  
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively in a team environment  
• Familiar with the (NEC) National Electrical Code  
• Familiar with the (CBC) California Building Code  
• Basic photovoltaic knowledge
